CCC Anti-Surge For Control
28 Apr. – 02 May 2025, Abu Dhabi | 18 – 22 Aug. 2025, Abu Dhabi | 15 – 19 Sep. 2025, Abu Dhabi |
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course gives a thorough appreciation of the CCC compressor control system, understand how the Safety On response gets the compressor out of the surge condition, understand how the Safety On response breaks the surge cycle and stabilizes the process, and understand how the Operator is notified of the surge event and what the next steps are. Recognize the purpose of the Surge Control Line and understand the advantages for operating closer to the Surge Limit Line. Understand why the Recycle Trip response is necessary, understand how the Recycle Trip response protects the compressor, understand how the Operator is notified of a Recycle Trip event, and understand the benefits of the Recycle Trip response.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course is designed for Maintenance technician Personnel to provide an understanding of:
−Understand the principles of anti-surge control and its importance in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of compressor systems.
−Gain knowledge of the various components of an anti-surge control system and their functions, including sensors, controllers, valves, and communication networks.
−Learn the basics of surge detection and measurement, and how to set up surge limits for anti-surge valves and compressors.
−Develop skills in configuring and tuning anti-surge controllers to optimize system performance and prevent surge events.
−Learn how to troubleshoot common issues in anti-surge control systems, including diagnosis of control valve problems and testing of sensors and transmitters.
−Gain knowledge in compressor performance control
− Learn proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and multi-variable control.
−Identify essential parameters in anti-surge control system
−Gain practical experience in implementing anti-surge control systems through case studies and real-world applications including CCC 3++ controller.
