Supplier Quality Assurance and External Provider Auditing

15 – 19 June 2026, Abu Dhabi07 – 11 Sep. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

In a globalized economy, the quality of a product is largely dependent on the performance of external providers and sub-tier suppliers. This course provides a comprehensive approach to Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), focusing on the selection, evaluation, and monitoring of partners to ensure they meet the organization's stringent requirements. Participants will learn how to transition from a "transactional" supplier relationship to a "partnership" model based on transparency and shared quality goals.

The scope of this training involves the technical application of ISO requirements for the control of externally provided processes, products, and services (Clause 8.4). Attendees will master the skills of external provider auditing, learning how to plan and conduct on-site and remote assessments of supplier facilities. The curriculum emphasizes the development of supplier quality agreements, the use of scorecards for performance monitoring, and the methodology for managing supplier-related nonconformities.

Coverage includes the risk-based approach to supplier selection, the evaluation of supplier capability through PPAP and other tools, and the legal aspects of quality contracts. Participants will explore techniques for driving improvement in the supply chain through supplier development programs and collaborative root cause analysis. By the end of this course, attendees will be able to manage the risks inherent in outsourcing and ensure a stable, high-quality flow of materials and services into their organizations.
