Lean Thinking: Waste Elimination Foundations

09 – 13 Feb. 2026, Abu Dhabi07 – 11 Dec. 2026, Dubai

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Lean Thinking: Waste Elimination Foundations is a fundamental course designed to introduce the core principles of the Lean philosophy to a broad audience. Based on the legendary Toyota Production System, Lean Thinking is about doing more with less: less human effort, less equipment, less time, and less space, while coming closer to providing customers exactly what they want. This course shifts the focus from "working harder" to "working smarter" by teaching participants how to see and eliminate activities that do not add value.

The scope of this training involves a deep exploration of the five Lean principles: Value, Value Stream, Flow, Pull, and Perfection. Participants will learn how to view their daily tasks through the lens of a customer, identifying which activities truly create value and which are merely "waste." The curriculum provides a common language and a set of simple, powerful tools that can be applied immediately in any work environment, from a factory floor to a modern office or hospital.

Coverage includes the detailed identification of the "Eight Wastes," the 5S workplace organization method, and the basics of Visual Management. Attendees will learn how to map a simple process and recognize the bottlenecks that prevent smooth flow. By the end of this course, participants will have a "Lean mindset," enabling them to continuously identify improvement opportunities and contribute to a more efficient, productive, and less stressful work environment.
