Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

23 – 27 Mar. 2026, Abu Dhabi14 – 18 Dec. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a comprehensive program designed to turn professionals into effective problem-solvers who can lead process improvement projects within their functional areas. Green Belts play a crucial role in bridging the gap between frontline operations and strategic goals, using the DMAIC methodology to reduce waste and eliminate defects. This course provides a balanced approach, combining the speed of Lean with the statistical precision of Six Sigma to deliver immediate business value.

The scope of this training involves the practical application of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) phases to real-world business challenges. Participants will learn how to define a project charter, gather baseline data, and use statistical tools to find the root cause of a problem. The curriculum focuses on the "practitioner" level of expertise, ensuring that attendees can facilitate small teams and implement sustainable solutions without needing the advanced mathematical depth of a Black Belt.

Coverage includes the essential Lean tools like Value Stream Mapping and 5S, as well as core Six Sigma concepts such as Process Capability, Control Charts, and basic Hypothesis Testing. Attendees will engage in a simulation project, taking a process from a state of chaos to a state of control. By the end of this course, participants will be certified to lead improvement initiatives that improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the philosophy and history of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Lead a DMAIC project within their own department or team.
  • Create a Project Charter with a clear business case and goals.
  • Map a process using SIPOC and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Collect and validate data to establish a process baseline.
  • Calculate process capability (Cp and Cpk) to assess performance.
  • Identify the Eight Wastes and develop plans to eliminate them.
  • Use Fishbone and 5 Whys to identify root causes of defects.
  • Perform basic Hypothesis Testing to validate findings.
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to process problems.
  • Create a Control Plan to ensure improvements are sustained.
  • Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor daily work.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Process Owners, Team Leaders, Project Managers, Quality Coordinators, and Professionals seeking to enhance their career through data-driven problem-solving.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
