COURSE OVERVIEW:
ISO 50001 is the international standard for Energy Management Systems (EnMS), providing a framework for organizations to improve energy performance, efficiency, and consumption. This Lead Auditor course is designed for professionals who wish to lead audits that help organizations reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions while complying with environmental regulations. Participants will learn how to evaluate an organization’s ability to manage its energy use systematically, ensuring that energy considerations are integrated into core business operations.
The scope of this training involves the application of advanced audit principles to the specific technical requirements of energy management. Attendees will explore the critical relationship between the energy baseline, energy performance indicators (EnPIs), and energy objectives. The curriculum focuses on the lead auditor’s ability to assess whether an organization has identified significant energy uses (SEUs) and implemented effective action plans to drive measurable energy savings.
Coverage includes the management of an entire audit team and the reporting of technical findings to senior management. Participants will learn how to audit energy procurement, energy design, and the monitoring of energy-related data. By the end of the course, attendees will possess the technical authority and leadership skills to conduct certification-level audits that promote global energy sustainability and organizational cost reduction.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:
A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.
The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.
COURSE CERTIFICATE:
National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
