ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

09 – 13 Feb. 2026, Abu Dhabi10 – 14 Aug. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

ISO 45001 is the global standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), designed to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees and contractors. This Lead Auditor course is a professional-level program that empowers participants to lead high-stakes audits of OH&S management systems on behalf of certification bodies or large enterprises. By mastering this standard, auditors ensure that organizations are proactively preventing work-related injuries and ill health while fulfilling their stringent legal and ethical obligations.

The scope of this training involves a deep dive into the leadership requirements and the technical application of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle within a safety context. Attendees will learn to manage the entire audit lifecycle, from strategic resource allocation and team management to the final reporting of audit conclusions to executive boards. The curriculum emphasizes the lead auditor’s responsibility to evaluate the maturity of an organization’s safety culture, the effectiveness of its hazard identification processes, and its commitment to worker consultation.

Coverage includes advanced auditing techniques such as risk-based sampling, auditing the hierarchy of controls, and evaluating emergency preparedness in complex industrial settings. Participants will learn how to navigate sensitive organizational dynamics, manage auditor teams, and communicate critical safety findings that could impact human lives. By the end of this course, participants will possess the technical competence and authority to lead audits that drive global health and safety excellence and ensure institutional compliance.
