COURSE OVERVIEW:

Risk is an inherent part of any organizational activity, and managing it effectively is essential for achieving strategic objectives and ensuring long-term resilience. This course provides an introductory overview of ISO 31000, the international standard that provides principles, a framework, and a process for managing risk. Participants will learn how risk management is not just about avoiding "bad things" but also about identifying and seizing opportunities to create and protect value.

 

The scope of this training covers the universal nature of the ISO 31000 guidelines, which can be applied to any organization, regardless of its size, sector, or complexity. Attendees will explore the fundamental principles that make risk management effective, such as integration into all organizational activities and being dynamic and responsive to change. The curriculum focuses on demystifying the risk management process, providing a clear path from risk identification to treatment and monitoring.

 

Coverage includes an introduction to the relationship between the risk management framework and the risk management process. Participants will learn the basics of risk assessment, including techniques for identifying, analyzing, and evaluating risks in a structured manner. The course emphasizes the importance of communication and consultation with stakeholders to ensure that risk management is transparent and inclusive.   • Understand the importance of Monitoring and Reviewing risk profiles.

Business Owners, Junior Risk Officers, Department Managers, Project Coordinators, and Professionals new to corporate governance.

 

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

 

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.

 

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
