Supplier Development Program

19 – 23 Jan. 2026, Abu Dhabi14 – 18 Dec. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The performance of an organization’s supply chain is fundamentally limited by the capabilities of its individual suppliers, necessitating a proactive approach to "Supplier Development." This course provides a comprehensive framework for designing and implementing a "Supplier Development Program" (SDP) that transforms traditional transactional relationships into strategic, high-performing partnerships. It focuses on the strategic importance of enhancing "Supplier Quality," "Efficiency," and "Innovation" to drive overall competitive advantage and supply chain resilience.

The scope of this training encompasses the technical application of "Supplier Performance Auditing," the management of "Joint Improvement Projects," and the implementation of "Knowledge Transfer" initiatives. Participants will learn how to identify "Critical Suppliers" for development, utilize "Root Cause Analysis" (RCA) to address performance gaps, and manage "Incentive Programs" that encourage continuous improvement. The course provides practical tools for "Capability Mapping," "Technical Mentoring," and the establishment of "Shared Savings" agreements.

Coverage includes the analysis of "Supplier Risk Assessment," the implementation of "Lean and Six Sigma" in the supply chain, and the execution of "Collaboration Workshops." Attendees will explore the legal and ethical dimensions of "Supplier Support" and learn how to measure the "Return on Investment" (ROI) of development activities. By mastering the supplier development program, professionals will be able to reduce supply chain costs, improve lead times, and foster a robust ecosystem of suppliers that are aligned with the organization’s quality and safety standards.
