Project Leadership: Developing Skills To Assist In Conflict Resolution
| 01 – 05 June 2026, Abu Dhabi | 21 – 25 Sep. 2026, Abu Dhabi |
COURSE OVERVIEW:
The delivery of complex projects is often hindered not by technical failures, but by the interpersonal friction that arises in high-pressure environments. This course provides a comprehensive framework for project leaders to transform conflict from a destructive force into a catalyst for innovation and team alignment. It focuses on the strategic importance of developing high "Emotional Intelligence" (EQ) to navigate the diverse interests and personalities that define the project stakeholder landscape.
The scope of this training encompasses the psychology of "Team Dynamics," the application of "Thomas-Kilmann" conflict modes, and the mastery of "Active Listening" and "Non-Verbal" communication. Participants will learn how to identify the "Early Warning Signs" of conflict, facilitate difficult conversations between stakeholders, and implement "Negotiation" strategies that achieve win-win outcomes. The course addresses the complexities of "Cross-Cultural" conflict and provides practical tools for building a "Psychologically Safe" team environment.
Coverage includes the analysis of "Power Dynamics" within organizations, the implementation of "Peer Mediation" techniques, and the execution of "Crucial Conversations" for high-stakes project issues. Attendees will explore the link between "Leadership Style" and conflict frequency, learning how to adapt their approach to different personality types and situational pressures. By mastering conflict resolution skills, project leaders will be able to maintain team cohesion, protect the project schedule, and foster a culture of collaborative problem-solving.
