COURSE OVERVIEW:

The effective management of project contracts from award through to final settlement is a critical discipline for safeguarding project value and avoiding litigation. This course provides a high-level framework for the systematic administration of complex agreements, ensuring that all parties adhere to their obligations while proactively managing changes and risks. It focuses on the strategic discipline required to navigate the high-stakes environment of "Post-Award" management where financial and operational performance is finalized.

Participants will learn how to identify the "Early Warning Signs" of contractual distress and implement mitigation strategies before disputes escalate. The course addresses the complexities of "Final Account" reconciliation and the "Transfer of Care, Custody, and Control" (TCCC), providing practical tools for a clean and professional project exit.

Coverage includes the analysis of "Claim Causation," the implementation of "Dispute Avoidance" mechanisms, and the execution of "Forensic Delay Analysis" for assessment workshops. Attendees will explore the legal and commercial nuances of "Force Majeure," "Liquidated Damages," and "Defect Liability" periods.
