Integrated Asset Modeler Fundamentals

27 Apr. – 01 May 2026, Abu Dhabi27 – 31 July 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The complexity of modern energy and industrial assets requires a holistic approach to performance optimization through "Integrated Asset Modeling" (IAM). This course provides a foundational exploration of the tools and methodologies used to create digital twins of complex assets, integrating reservoir, wellbore, and surface facility data. It focuses on the strategic value of IAM in identifying bottlenecks and maximizing the "Value Chain" from extraction to production.

The scope of this training encompasses the principles of "Network Modeling," the synchronization of multi-disciplinary data sets, and the implementation of real-time monitoring solutions. Participants will learn how to build integrated models that account for fluid dynamics, pressure constraints, and operational variables across the entire asset. The course addresses the technical challenges of "Coupling" different simulation software and ensures that models are validated against actual field performance.

Coverage includes the analysis of "What-If" scenarios for asset expansion, the management of "Production Allocation," and the utilization of IAM for "Debottlenecking" and maintenance planning. Attendees will explore the integration of economic models with physical simulations to drive profitability. By mastering IAM fundamentals, professionals will be able to provide the technical insights required to optimize production, extend asset life, and enhance the overall return on investment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the core principles and benefits of Integrated Asset Modeling.
  • Integrate multi-disciplinary data from reservoir, wells, and facilities.
  • Build foundational network models for complex industrial assets.
  • Utilize IAM to identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Execute "What-If" simulations to optimize asset performance.
  • Couple different simulation software for integrated analysis.
  • Validate integrated models against real-time field data.
  • Manage "Production Allocation" and forecasting via IAM.
  • Support strategic asset development and expansion decisions.
  • Enhance maintenance and turnaround planning using digital twins.
  • Integrate economic and technical simulations for value optimization.
  • Communicate IAM results effectively to multi-disciplinary teams.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This course is intended for Reservoir Engineers, Production Engineers, Asset Managers, Process Engineers, and Digital Twin Specialists.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
