COURSE OVERVIEW:
This course is designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of the requirements, principles, and practices involved in designing, operating, and managing product storage, loading, and transportation facilities for petroleum products. It covers the characteristics of petroleum products, the design of storage tanks and terminals, loading and unloading systems, and transportation modes. Emphasis is placed on safe operation, regulatory compliance, environmental protection, and practical problem solving in day-to-day operations.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Explain the fundamental principles of product storage, loading, and transportation in the petroleum industry.
- Describe the main design considerations and operational requirements for storage tanks, loading terminals, and transportation infrastructure.
- Apply appropriate safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to product storage, loading, and transport.
- Recognize environmental aspects and implement basic risk mitigation strategies associated with petroleum product handling.
- Identify common challenges and troubleshoot basic issues in product storage, loading, and transport operations.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:
A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions, as well as case studies, will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information, knowledge, and experience transfer. The course will be intensive but practical and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance learning. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.
The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and after the course.
COURSE CERTIFICATE:
National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
