Oil Field Treatment for Operator
| 22 – 26 June 2026, Abu Dhabi | 12 – 16 Oct. 2026, Cairo |
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of oil field treatment operations, emphasizing chemical injection systems, dehydration processes, fired equipment, and hot oil systems used in crude oil processing and conditioning.
The program is designed to build the skills of operators and supervisors involved in oil production, treatment, and stabilization, with a focus on monitoring, control, and troubleshooting of surface treating facilities. Participants will gain practical insights into oil dehydration and desalting, chemical dosing optimization, and safe operation of fired and hot oil systems to meet crude sales specifications.
By combining theoretical sessions with case-based discussions, the course enables participants to effectively manage daily treatment operations, ensure system reliability, and maintain oil quality standards in compliance with ADNOC and international requirements.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
After completion of the course, the participants will be able to:
- Recognize the theory of crude oil formation, accumulation, and production.
- Understand the composition and properties of crude oil that influence its treatment and processing.
- Develop a practical understanding of field treatment facilities and their operating principles.
- Learn the function and design of oil dehydration and desalting systems.
- Operate and maintain chemical injection skids, understanding dosing control and chemical compatibility.
- Gain operational knowledge of fired heaters and hot oil systems, including safety and monitoring practices.
- Understand crude oil sales specifications and how to maintain product quality for export.
- Identify common plant malfunction scenarios and apply troubleshooting techniques.
- Apply process control strategies to optimize oil treatment performance and reliability.
- Enhance communication and coordination between field and control room operations for safe and efficient plant management.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY
A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions, as well as case studies, will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information, knowledge, and experience transfer. The course will be intensive but practical and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance learning. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.
The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and after the course.
COURSE CERTIFICATE:
National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
