Fluidised Reaction System Operations Training

30 Mar. – 03 Apr. 2026, Abu Dhabi27 – 31 July 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course provides participants with fundamental knowledge and practical understanding of fluidized reaction systems as used in the petrochemical industry. It covers the basic principles of fluidization, key equipment and components, and the typical operating configurations used in industrial fluidized reactors. The course explains startup, shutdown, and normal operating procedures in line with established protocols, with strong emphasis on monitoring critical parameters, maintaining stable fluidization, and controlling process conditions. Participants will also learn how to interpret control logic, recognize early signs of abnormal operation, and apply structured troubleshooting techniques while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the basic principles of fluidized reaction systems and how fluidization is established and maintained.
  2. Describe and follow procedures for startup and shutdown activities in accordance with established protocols and standard operating procedures.
  3. Develop practical skills for monitoring fluidized reaction system operations, including key process variables and visual indicators of bed behavior.
  4. Gain proficiency in identifying and troubleshooting operational issues in fluidized reaction systems and taking appropriate corrective actions.
  5. Interpret the main logic and control systems related to fluidized reaction system operation, including alarms, interlocks, and protective functions.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

-Operators working on fluidized reaction units and associated systems

-Technicians involved in field operations, inspection, and routine checks

-Engineers supporting operation and maintenance of fluidized reaction systems

-Control room and panel operators in petrochemical and related facilities

-Maintenance personnel who require operational awareness of fluidized systems

-Any personnel involved in the operation and maintenance of fluidized reaction systems within the petrochemical industry

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions, as well as case studies, will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information, knowledge, and experience transfer. The course will be intensive but practical and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance learning. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
