COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course provides participants with a clear understanding of Daily Operating Instructions and Standing Instructions used to manage plant and field operations. It covers how daily instructions are prepared, structured, communicated, and implemented, including maintenance activities, chemical injection rates, safety instructions, feed and product specifications, and specific instructions for particular activities or operational conditions. The course emphasizes the role of operators in correctly reading, understanding, and executing these instructions, reporting deviations, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation in line with company requirements.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the purpose and importance of Daily Operating Instructions and Standing Instructions in plant operations.
  2. Understand the requirements and typical content of Daily Operating Instructions, including key sections and priorities.
  3. Correctly interpret instructions related to plant operating conditions, set points, and production targets.
  4. Apply daily instructions concerning maintenance activities, permits, and equipment status in coordination with maintenance teams.
  5. Understand and follow instructions related to chemical injection rates, monitoring, and documenting any adjustments.
  6. Implement safety related instructions, including precautions, isolation requirements, and special HSE conditions.
  7. Interpret and comply with feed and product specifications reflected in daily instructions.
  8. Follow specific instructions for particular activities (startups, shutdowns, flushing, cleaning, special operations).
  9. Record, communicate, and escalate deviations from daily instructions to supervisors and control room personnel.
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement in the quality and clarity of Daily Operating Instructions through feedback and good practices.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions, as well as case studies, will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information, knowledge, and experience transfer. The course will be intensive but practical and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance learning. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

 

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and after the course.

 

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
