COURSE OVERVIEW:
Sustainable Blue Economy is a strategic program designed to harmonize economic growth with the preservation of marine ecosystems. This course examines the diverse sectors of the "Ocean Economy," including offshore renewable energy, sustainable fisheries, maritime transport, and marine biotechnology. It provides a technical and policy framework for implementing the "United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14" (Life Below Water).
The scope of this training involves the mastery of "Marine Spatial Planning" (MSP) and the application of "Circular Economy" principles to coastal development. Participants will explore the mechanics of "Blue Carbon" sequestration, the management of "Marine Protected Areas" (MPAs), and the technicalities of "Green Port" initiatives.
