06 – 10 Apr. 2026, Abu Dhabi03 – 07 Aug. 2026, Dubai

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Professional Ship Superintendent Training is a high-level program designed to bridge the gap between shipboard operations and shore-side management. This course examines the multifaceted role of the Technical Superintendent, focusing on vessel performance, budgetary control, and regulatory compliance. It provides a strategic framework for managing a fleet of assets while ensuring technical integrity and commercial readiness.

The scope of this training involves the detailed management of dry-docking projects, including specification writing, contractor selection, and on-site supervision. Participants will explore the mechanics of planned maintenance systems (PMS), the monitoring of engine performance data, and the management of major repairs. The program emphasizes the role of the Superintendent in "Vetting and Inspections," ensuring that vessels meet the stringent requirements of Port State Control and major oil companies.

Coverage includes the legal and insurance aspects of ship management, the coordination of emergency response, and the implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives.
