COURSE OVERVIEW:
The KPI for Shipping Companies Training Program is a data-driven management course designed to optimize maritime performance through measurable indicators. This course examines the "Shipping KPI" standard developed by BIMCO and other industry leaders, providing a technical framework for benchmarking safety, environmental impact, and operational efficiency. It provides a strategic roadmap for shipowners and managers to transform raw operational data into actionable intelligence for better decision-making.
The scope of this training involves the detailed analysis of the hierarchy of Key Performance Indicators, ranging from high-level "KPIs" to specific "Performance Indicators" (PIs) and "Data Points." Participants will explore how to select relevant metrics for technical management, crew behavior, financial health, and environmental compliance. The program emphasizes the importance of data quality, standardized reporting, and the use of KPIs in vessel vetting and commercial negotiations.
Coverage includes the implementation of a KPI management system, the use of digital dashboards, and the benchmarking of fleet performance against global industry averages.
