| 19 – 23 Jan. 2026, Abu Dhabi | 20 – 24 July 2026, Abu Dhabi |
COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Introduction to T-FOET Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training course is a refresher program designed for experienced offshore personnel who have previously completed their initial induction training. This course examines the essential emergency response skills required to maintain competency in high-risk tropical offshore environments. It provides a technical review of survival techniques, firefighting, and first aid, ensuring that workers are updated on the latest industry standards and equipment developments as mandated by OPITO.
The scope of this training involves the practical re-assessment of helicopter escape procedures and sea survival tactics specifically tailored for warm-water regions. Participants will explore advanced scenarios in helicopter underwater escape training (HUET), focusing on compressed air emergency breathing systems and ditching protocols. The program emphasizes the validation of physical skills and the reinforcement of psychological readiness necessary to handle major offshore incidents without hesitation.
Coverage includes the updated use of portable fire extinguishers, self-rescue techniques from smoke-filled areas, and the administration of basic life support in an offshore context. The course addresses changes in offshore safety legislation and the evolution of personal protective equipment. By providing a rigorous evaluation of emergency performance, this course equips seasoned offshore professionals with the continued confidence and legal certification required to maintain their roles on installations and rigs.
