Wellsite Management and Supervision for Field Leaders

27 Apr. – 01 May 2026, Abu Dhabi24 – 28 Aug. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Wellsite Management and Supervision for Field Leaders is a leadership-focused technical course designed for those responsible for the overall success of rig and rigless operations. Managing a wellsite requires more than technical knowledge; it requires the ability to coordinate diverse teams, manage complex logistics, and make critical decisions under pressure. This course provides a framework for operational excellence, focusing on the "soft" skills of leadership integrated with the "hard" requirements of safety and efficiency.

The scope of this training includes the management of the "Plan of the Day," contractor supervision, and the enforcement of the Permit to Work (PTW) system. Participants will explore the principles of Human Factors and Crew Resource Management (CRM), learning how to foster a "Chronic Unease" mindset that prevents accidents. The curriculum emphasizes the economic aspects of wellsite management, teaching leaders how to minimize Non-Productive Time (NPT) without compromising safety.

Coverage also focuses on crisis management and emergency response. Attendees will learn how to lead during well control incidents, medical emergencies, or equipment failures. By focusing on the integration of technical oversight with personnel management, this course empowers Wellsite Leaders (WSLs) and Rig Managers to deliver wells that meet technical objectives, stay within budget, and, most importantly, ensure that everyone returns home safely.

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
