World-Class Strategic Maintenance Management Performance

18 – 22 May 2026, Abu Dhabi14 – 18 Sep. 2026, Dubai

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The fundamental meaning of this course is the transformation of maintenance from a "Cost Center" into a "Value-Generating" strategic asset. World-Class Maintenance (WCM) is not just about fixing equipment; it is about the sophisticated integration of people, processes, and technology to achieve peak industrial performance. This course provides the leadership and engineering framework required to align maintenance objectives with corporate financial and safety goals, utilizing the principles of ISO 55000 and the "Shingo" model of operational excellence.

The scope of this training involves the mastery of the "Maintenance Value Chain," including strategic planning, risk management, and performance benchmarking. Participants will examine the "Human Factor," learning how to lead cultural changes and develop high-performance reliability teams. The curriculum emphasizes "Data-Driven Decision Making," where "Key Performance Indicators" (KPIs) are used to steer the organization toward "Continuous Improvement" and "Defect Elimination."

Coverage includes the optimization of "Life Cycle Costs" (LCC), the implementation of "Advanced Reliability Strategies" (RCM/RBI), and the utilization of "Digital Transformation" (Industry 4.0). Attendees will explore how to benchmark their site against global "World-Class" standards and develop a multi-year "Maintenance Excellence Roadmap." By the end of this program, participants will be able to architect and lead a maintenance organization that delivers superior asset availability, safety, and profitability.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Define the technical characteristics of a "World-Class Maintenance" organization.
  • Align "Maintenance Strategy" with the corporate "Business Plan" and ISO 55001.
  • Implement a "Maintenance Value Chain" that optimizes total asset costs.
  • Master the "Financials of Maintenance": Budgeting, LCC, and ROI.
  • Utilize "Leading and Lagging KPIs" to drive organizational performance.
  • Implement a "Defect Elimination" program to reduce reactive maintenance.
  • Lead "Cultural Transformation" and develop a "Reliability-Centered" workforce.
  • Benchmark site performance against "Global Best Practices" and OEE targets.
  • Optimize "Asset Criticality" to focus resources on the highest-risk areas.
  • Integrate "Industry 4.0" and "Digital Maintenance" into the asset strategy.
  • Conduct "Strategic Maintenance Audits" to identify maturity gaps.
  • Build a 3-year "Maintenance Excellence Roadmap" for the organization.
