Weekly Scheduling and Compliance Management (Schedule Attainment)

06 – 10 Apr. 2026, Abu Dhabi03 – 07 Aug. 2026, Dubai

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The fundamental meaning of this course is the tactical execution of the maintenance plan through the discipline of weekly scheduling. While planning focuses on "What" and "How," scheduling focuses on "When" and "Who." This course provides the framework for coordinating available man-hours with equipment availability, ensuring that the most critical work is executed in the most efficient sequence. The focus is on maximizing "Wrench-Time" by eliminating the logistical chaos that often disrupts maintenance teams.

The scope of this training involves the "Weekly Scheduling Cycle," from the "Ready-Backlog" review to the final "Schedule Compliance" report. Participants will learn how to balance "Preventive Maintenance" (PM) requirements with "Corrective Work" while maintaining a buffer for emergency "Break-In" tasks. The curriculum emphasizes the technical "Load-Leveling" of crafts, ensuring that the schedule is realistic and achievable based on the actual headcount and site constraints.

Coverage includes the facilitation of the "Weekly Scheduling Meeting," the management of "Schedule Interrupters," and the calculation of "Schedule Attainment" KPIs. Attendees will explore the use of digital scheduling tools and the integration of the schedule with the "Permit to Work" (PTW) system. By the end of this program, participants will be able to build a robust weekly schedule that provides clear direction to the craft teams and provides management with a transparent view of maintenance performance.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Define the technical difference between "Maintenance Planning" and "Maintenance Scheduling."
  • Calculate the "Net Capacity" of the maintenance workforce for a given week.
  • Prioritize the "Work Backlog" based on asset criticality and due dates.
  • Construct a "Weekly Maintenance Schedule" that balances all craft types.
  • Facilitate a "Weekly Scheduling Meeting" with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Implement a "Schedule Freeze" protocol to manage last-minute additions.
  • Manage "Break-In Work" through a formalized emergency prioritization system.
  • Utilize "Visual Management" boards to track daily schedule progress.
  • Calculate "Schedule Attainment" (Compliance) and analyze "Reason Codes" for misses.
  • Coordinate "Equipment Access" with Operations to ensure zero-delay starts.
  • Optimize "Resource Leveling" to avoid craft-mix bottlenecks.
  • Report "Weekly Maintenance Performance" to plant leadership.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This course is designed for Maintenance Schedulers, Planners, Maintenance Supervisors, Operations Coordinators, and CMMS Administrators.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.
