Reliability Culture and Continuous Improvement Programs
| 19 – 23 Jan. 2026, Abu Dhabi | 20 – 24 July 2026, Abu Dhabi |
COURSE OVERVIEW:
The core meaning of this course is the transformation of an organization's mindset from reactive "firefighting" to a proactive culture of ownership and reliability. Technical tools and software are ineffective if the people within the organization do not value asset integrity or understand their role in the reliability chain. This course focuses on the "Human Element" of reliability, addressing the leadership, behaviors, and incentives required to sustain a high-performance maintenance environment.
The scope of this training involves the integration of "Total Productive Maintenance" (TPM) and "Lean Maintenance" principles into the daily routine. Participants will examine the "Psychology of Reliability," exploring how to bridge the gap between Operations and Maintenance through shared goals and "Autonomous Maintenance" programs. The curriculum emphasizes the "Continuous Improvement" loop, teaching attendees how to utilize "Kaizen" events and "Small-Group Activities" to solve chronic equipment problems.
Coverage includes the development of "Reliability Leadership" skills, the design of "Visual Workplaces," and the implementation of a "Defect Elimination" program. Attendees will explore how to measure "Cultural Maturity" and how to use "Gamification and Recognition" to drive the right maintenance behaviors. By the end of this course, participants will be able to lead a cultural transformation that empowers every employee to identify and eliminate the "Root Causes" of unreliability in their work area.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Define the characteristics of a "World-Class" Reliability Culture.
- Assess the "Cultural Maturity" of their organization using standard models.
- Implement "Total Productive Maintenance" (TPM) as a cultural driver.
- Design "Autonomous Maintenance" programs for production operators.
- Facilitate "Kaizen" events for rapid reliability improvement.
- Develop "Reliability Leadership" skills for supervisors and managers.
- Implement a "Defect Elimination" program to remove chronic failures.
- Utilize "Visual Management" (5S) to improve shop-floor discipline.
- Align "Incentives and KPIs" to encourage proactive behaviors.
- Overcome "Resistance to Change" during reliability transformations.
- Conduct "Gemba Walks" to identify reliability opportunities in the field.
- Communicate the "Value of Reliability" to all levels of the workforce.
