Mobile Maintenance and Digital Work Execution (e-Work Packs)

22 – 26 June 2026, Abu Dhabi09 – 13 Nov. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The core meaning of this course is the transformation of traditional paper-based maintenance processes into a streamlined, digital workflow utilizing mobile technology. As industry moves toward a paperless environment, the ability to deliver information to the point of work and capture data in real-time is essential for modern maintenance departments. This course focuses on the transition from manual work packs to "e-Work Packs" that reside on tablets and smartphones.

The scope of this training involves the technical and cultural aspects of deploying mobile devices in industrial settings. Participants will examine the architecture of mobile maintenance solutions, including data synchronization, offline capabilities, and integration with existing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). The curriculum emphasizes the optimization of the technician's experience, ensuring that digital tools reduce administrative burden and increase "Wrench Time" through instant access to drawings, manuals, and safety protocols.

Coverage includes the design of interactive digital forms, the use of QR codes and RFID for asset identification, and the implementation of mobile-based Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Attendees will explore how digital work execution improves data integrity by capturing photos, signatures, and sensor readings directly at the asset. By the end of this course, participants will be able to design and manage a digital maintenance program that enhances safety, improves documentation quality, and provides management with real-time visibility into field activities.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Define the benefits of "Mobile Maintenance" over traditional paper systems.
  • Evaluate different hardware options (Tablets/Phones) for industrial environments.
  • Design "e-Work Packs" that integrate safety, procedures, and parts lists.
  • Utilize QR codes and RFID for rapid asset identification in the field.
  • Implement digital signatures and "Permit to Work" (PTW) on mobile devices.
  • Capture and annotate "Field Photos" to enhance failure documentation.
  • Manage "Offline Mode" synchronization for work in remote locations.
  • Design interactive digital checklists to prevent "check-the-box" behavior.
  • Utilize mobile devices for real-time spare parts searching and ordering.
  • Integrate mobile data capture with high-level Reliability KPIs.
  • Conduct "Mobile-Based RCA" at the point of failure for better accuracy.
  • Develop a change management plan to gain technician buy-in for digital tools.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This course is essential for Maintenance Supervisors, CMMS Administrators, IT Maintenance Support, Reliability Engineers, and Field Technicians.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
