Maintenance Auditing, Benchmarking, and Performance Improvement

08 – 12 June 2026, Abu Dhabi31 Aug. – 04 Sep. 2026, Dubai

COURSE OVERVIEW:

You cannot manage what you do not measure, and you cannot improve what you do not audit. This course provides a comprehensive methodology for assessing the maturity and effectiveness of a maintenance organization through formal auditing and industry benchmarking. It focuses on identifying the "Gaps" between current site performance and world-class maintenance standards, providing a roadmap for strategic transformation.

The scope of this training involves the use of standardized audit protocols to evaluate the entire maintenance value chain, including planning, scheduling, reliability engineering, and spare parts management. Participants will learn how to gather objective evidence, conduct stakeholder interviews, and utilize "Maturity Models" to score their current status. The curriculum emphasizes the selection of the right benchmarks (Internal, Competitive, and Functional) to ensure that performance targets are realistic, challenging, and aligned with business goals.

Coverage includes the development of a "Maintenance Master Plan" based on audit findings, the design of a balanced scorecard of KPIs, and the leadership skills required to drive organizational change. Attendees will explore the "Value-Driven Maintenance" approach, where every improvement is justified by its impact on the bottom line. By the end of this course, participants will be able to lead a maintenance audit, present a professional findings report, and manage a multi-year performance improvement program.
