CMMS Reporting, KPIs, and Dashboard Development
| 22 – 26 June 2026, Abu Dhabi | 09 – 13 Nov. 2026, Abu Dhabi |
COURSE OVERVIEW:
The transition from data collection to data-driven decision-making is the ultimate goal of any modern maintenance organization. This course addresses the critical need for maintenance professionals to transform the massive amounts of data stored within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) into actionable intelligence. It focuses on the technical and analytical skills required to design, implement, and interpret performance metrics that reflect the true health of industrial assets and the efficiency of the maintenance workforce.
The scope of this training involves the selection and definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with international standards and organizational objectives. Participants will learn the mechanics of data extraction, the principles of data visualization, and the creation of dynamic dashboards that provide real time visibility into maintenance operations. The program emphasizes the importance of data integrity and "single source of truth" reporting to ensure that management decisions are based on accurate and verifiable information.
Coverage includes a detailed analysis of leading and lagging indicators, the use of trend analysis to predict future performance, and the development of automated reporting workflows. Attendees will explore how to communicate complex technical data to non technical stakeholders through intuitive visual storytelling. By the end of this course, participants will be equipped to build a robust reporting framework that identifies "bad actors," justifies maintenance budgets, and drives a culture of continuous improvement across the facility.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Define and categorize maintenance KPIs into leading and lagging indicators.
- Align maintenance reporting with corporate strategic goals and ISO 55000.
- Design intuitive dashboards that provide a "at a glance" view of performance.
- Utilize data visualization principles to create impactful charts and graphs.
- Automate the generation and distribution of maintenance reports via CMMS.
- Analyze "Mean Time Between Failures" (MTBF) to identify reliability gaps.
- Calculate "Mean Time To Repair" (MTTR) to measure maintenance efficiency.
- Monitor "Schedule Compliance" and "PM Compliance" to ensure discipline.
- Develop financial reports for tracking maintenance spend against budget.
- Identify "Bad Actor" assets through Pareto analysis and data mining.
- Conduct data quality audits to ensure the reliability of CMMS reports.
- Present maintenance performance data effectively to executive leadership.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is essential for CMMS Managers, Maintenance Planners, Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Superintendents, Asset Managers, and Data Analysts.
TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:
A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.
The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.
COURSE CERTIFICATE:
National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
