Environmental Quality Management: Implementing ISO 17025 Systems

15 – 19 June 2026, Abu Dhabi05 – 09 Oct. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The meaning of this course lies in the systematic alignment of environmental laboratory operations with the global gold standard for technical competence. ISO 17025 is not merely a collection of rules; it is a management philosophy that ensures environmental data is consistently accurate, reliable, and internationally recognized. This program provides the strategic framework for building and maintaining a quality management system that withstands the rigors of formal accreditation.

The scope of the training covers the dual requirements of ISO 17025 the management requirements for organizational efficiency and the technical requirements for analytical excellence. It addresses the practical implementation of document control, internal auditing, and corrective action processes within the unique context of environmental testing. Participants will explore how to transition from informal "best practices" to a documented, auditable system where every measurement is traceable and every analyst is proven competent.

The coverage includes a detailed investigation into method validation, measurement uncertainty, and proficiency testing as they apply to environmental matrices like air, water, and soil. The course emphasizes the importance of risk-based thinking, impartiality, and the management of laboratory data integrity. By mastering these quality management protocols, participants will be able to lead their laboratory through the accreditation journey, enhancing their reputation and ensuring their data is legally defensible in regulatory environments.
