Effective Management of the Chemical Analysis Support Laboratory

11 – 15 May 2026, Abu Dhabi07 – 11 Sep. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The meaning of this course lies in the optimization of the support laboratory as a critical partner in industrial production and research. A support laboratory does not operate in isolation; it must be a high-efficiency engine that provides accurate data at the speed of business. This course provides the managerial toolkit required to balance technical precision with operational excellence, ensuring that the laboratory adds measurable value to the parent organization.

The scope of the training addresses the multifaceted challenges of managing people, processes, and equipment within a support environment. It covers the implementation of Lean laboratory principles to reduce turnaround times and minimize waste without compromising scientific integrity. Participants will explore the dynamics of resource allocation, the management of fluctuating sample volumes, and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) that accurately reflect laboratory health and impact.

The coverage includes a comprehensive look at laboratory budgeting, chemical inventory logistics, and the fostering of a robust safety and quality culture. The course emphasizes the importance of communication between the lab and its internal customers, providing strategies for managing expectations and resolving technical disputes. By the end of the program, participants will be able to transform a reactive support unit into a proactive, strategically aligned analytical service.
