ISO 50001 Energy Management System Implementation and Lead Auditor Training

06 – 10 Apr. 2026, Abu Dhabi03 – 07 Aug. 2026, Dubai

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The meaning of ISO 50001 refers to the internationally recognized standard for Energy Management Systems (EnMS), which provides a structured framework for organizations to continually improve their energy performance. This course focuses on the "Plan-Do-Check-Act" (PDCA) cycle, emphasizing the transition from sporadic energy audits to a persistent, data-driven management culture. By implementing ISO 50001, organizations can systematically identify energy waste, enhance operational efficiency, and provide transparent evidence of their commitment to carbon reduction to stakeholders and regulators.

The scope of this training encompasses the entire implementation journey—from establishing top management commitment and energy policies to conducting detailed energy reviews and setting ambitious Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs). It examines the technicalities of "Energy Baselines" (EnB) and the critical role of "Significant Energy Uses" (SEUs) in prioritizing improvement projects. The course provides a deep dive into the "Lead Auditor" component, equipping participants with the skills to conduct rigorous internal and second-party audits that ensure the EnMS is effective and compliant.

Coverage includes the analysis of "Organizational Context" and the management of risks and opportunities related to energy security and cost. The course addresses the importance of "Awareness and Competence" among the workforce and the integration of energy considerations into the design and procurement of new assets. Participants will gain practical expertise in utilizing ISO 50003, ISO 50006, and ISO 50015 as supporting standards, ultimately formulating a comprehensive strategy to achieve and maintain world-class energy management certification.
