Electrical Equipment Installation and Control Systems Commissioning
| 15 – 19 June 2026, Abu Dhabi | 02 – 06 Nov. 2026, Cairo |
COURSE OVERVIEW:
The successful deployment of electrical infrastructure requires a seamless integration between physical installation practices and sophisticated control system verification. This course provides a technical roadmap for the installation of primary electrical equipment and the subsequent commissioning of the control logic that governs it. Participants will explore the engineering standards for mounting, cabling, and grounding, ensuring that the physical foundation of the power system is robust and compliant with safety codes.
The scope of this training addresses the practical aspects of installing transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers within various industrial environments. It covers the technical nuances of transitioning from mechanical installation to the digital commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and remote monitoring units. The curriculum provides a systematic focus on the verification of signal loops, the calibration of field instruments, and the testing of automated sequences that ensure the system operates as designed.
Coverage includes the interpretation of wiring diagrams and the implementation of systematic point-to-point testing to identify installation errors before energization. Attendees will learn to manage the coordination between mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines to prevent project delays. By combining structural installation knowledge with digital commissioning strategies, the course equips professionals with the expertise required to deliver a fully functional, safe, and reliable electrical and control system package.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Apply engineering standards for the physical installation of electrical assets.
- Explain the requirements for equipment foundations, leveling, and anchoring.
- Execute professional cable routing, tray installation, and termination.
- Implement effective grounding and bonding for installed equipment.
- Verify the integrity of power and control wiring through point-to-point checks.
- Commission control loops including sensors, controllers, and actuators.
- Calibrate and test field instruments and signal transmitters.
- Validate the logic of PLC programs and HMI visualizations.
- Perform functional testing of automated sequences and interlocks.
- Troubleshoot installation and communication faults during commissioning.
- Manage the documentation of installation and commissioning test sheets.
- Ensure a safe transition from the installation phase to the start-up phase.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is intended for Installation Technicians, Control Engineers, Project Supervisors, and Quality Assurance Personnel involved in electrical and control projects.
TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:
A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximize the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.
The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.
COURSE CERTIFICATE:
National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants completing a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
