ISO 55001 Asset Management Awareness Training
| 05 – 09 Jan. 2026, Abu Dhabi | 06 – 10 July 2026, Abu Dhabi |
COURSE OVERVIEW:
ISO 55001 provides the international standard for a management system to realize value from assets while balancing costs, risks, and performance. This awareness course is designed to provide participants with a clear understanding of the requirements, principles, and benefits of an effective Asset Management System (AMS). It focuses on the strategic alignment of physical assets—ranging from infrastructure and machinery to technology—with the overall objectives of the organization. The program emphasizes that asset management is not merely a maintenance function, but a holistic business approach that involves every level of the company.
The scope of this training involves a detailed walkthrough of the ISO 55001 framework, covering leadership, planning, support, operation, and performance evaluation. Participants will explore the concept of the "Lifecycle" of an asset, from initial acquisition and operation to maintenance and eventual disposal. The curriculum highlights the importance of data-driven decision-making and the management of risk as central pillars of the standard. Attendees will learn how an integrated AMS helps organizations reduce capital expenditures, improve operational efficiency, and satisfy regulatory and stakeholder requirements for transparency and reliability.
Detailed coverage is provided on the practical steps required to move toward ISO 55001 certification. The course teaches participants how to develop a Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), establish clear roles and responsibilities, and implement performance metrics that track asset health. By analyzing the "Line of Sight" between corporate goals and shop-floor maintenance tasks, attendees will understand how their individual roles contribute to the long-term sustainability of the organization. The program concludes with a focus on continuous improvement, ensuring that the asset management system evolves alongside changing market conditions and technological advancements.
