Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS): Framework, Governance and Implementation

05 – 09 Jan. 2026, Abu Dhabi23 – 27 Nov. 2026, Sharm El Shaikh

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Asset Integrity Management System: Framework, Governance, and Implementation is a high-level strategic course designed to guide organizations through the complex process of building a sustainable integrity culture. This program focuses on the "Governance" aspect of AIMS, ensuring that there is clear accountability, a robust policy framework, and a structured implementation plan. By establishing a solid foundation for asset management, organizations can ensure that their technical activities are aligned with corporate values and regulatory requirements.

The scope of this training encompasses the entire lifecycle of an AIMS, from the initial gap analysis and policy development to the full-scale rollout across multiple facilities. Participants will explore the interrelationships between various management system standards, such as ISO 55001 (Asset Management) and ISO 31000 (Risk Management). The curriculum delves into the organizational structure required to support asset integrity, emphasizing the roles of the Board, senior executives, and technical leaders in championing the system.

Coverage includes the development of a comprehensive Asset Integrity Manual, the establishment of internal governance committees, and the management of change throughout the implementation phase. The course provides practical strategies for overcoming cultural resistance and ensuring that the AIMS is "embedded" into daily operations rather than being a separate bureaucratic layer. By the end of this program, attendees will have a roadmap for implementing an AIMS that drives long-term value, safety, and operational excellence.
