Asset Integrity Management System (AEIMS): Monitoring, KPIs and Dashboards

29 June – 03 July 2026, Abu Dhabi16 – 20 Nov. 2026, Abu Dhabi

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The effectiveness of an Asset Integrity Management System depends on the ability to measure performance and visualize risk in real-time. This course focuses on the "monitoring" pillar of AIMS, emphasizing the development of robust Key Performance Indicators and the implementation of digital dashboards. By transforming raw inspection and process data into actionable intelligence, integrity managers can move beyond descriptive reporting to predictive and prescriptive asset management strategies.

The scope of this training covers the design and selection of both leading and lagging indicators that reflect the health of static and rotating equipment. Participants will learn how to extract data from various sources—such as computerized maintenance management systems, inspection databases, and process historians—to create a unified view of asset integrity. The curriculum explores the technical architecture of integrity dashboards, focusing on data visualization techniques that highlight critical threats and resource gaps.

Coverage includes the establishment of performance standards for Integrity Critical Equipment and the process for escalating deviations from these standards. The course provides a deep dive into the use of "Red-Amber-Green" (RAG) status reporting and the management of "evergreen" data sets. By the end of this program, attendees will be able to build a comprehensive monitoring framework that provides stakeholders with a clear, transparent, and accurate picture of the facility's integrity status, supporting informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  1. Define the role of monitoring in an Asset Integrity Management System.
  2. Distinguish between leading and lagging performance indicators.
  3. Select KPIs that align with corporate integrity and safety goals.
  4. Design a digital dashboard for visualizing plant-wide integrity status.
  5. Integrate data from multiple sources (CMMS, IDMS, ERP) into a single view.
  6. Establish "Performance Standards" for critical asset components.
  7. Monitor the status of overdue inspections and maintenance tasks.
  8. Track the effectiveness of chemical inhibition and cathodic protection.
  9. Utilize dashboard data to prioritize maintenance and inspection resources.
  10. Manage the reporting and escalation process for "High Risk" findings.
  11. Develop automated reporting systems for management and regulatory audits.
  12. Analyze trends in corrosion rates and equipment failure data.
  13. Drive continuous improvement through data-driven performance reviews.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This course is tailored for integrity engineers, data analysts, maintenance managers, IT specialists in asset management, and senior leaders who require high-level visibility into asset health.

TRAINING COURSE METHODOLOGY:

A highly interactive combination of lectures, discussion sessions, and case studies will be employed to maximise the transfer of information, knowledge, and experience. The course will be intensive, practical, and highly interactive. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. The attendants will also be encouraged to raise more of their questions and to share in developing the right answers using their analysis and experience. There will also be some indoor experiential activities to enhance the learning experience. Course material will be provided in PowerPoint, with necessary animations, learning videos, and general discussions.

The course participants shall be evaluated before, during, and at the end of the course.

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

The National Consultant Centre for Training LLC (NCC) will issue an Attendance Certificate to all participants who complete a minimum of 80% of the total attendance time requirement.
