Course Overview:

The course will help the participants understand the basics and practices of determining hydrocarbon location and hydrocarbon volumes behind casing and distinguishing borehole fluids from formation fluids, using modern pulsed-neutron techniques including emerging multiple-detector tools.

Course Outline:

  Pulsed-neutron capture (PNC) vs. carbon/oxygen (C/O) for saturation determination

  Three-phase saturation computation

  Gas delineation using newly developed three-detector tools,

  Quantify zonal communication

  Determine fluid hold-ups in the well-bore.
