17 – 21 Feb. 2025 | Abu Dhabi | 15 – 19 Dec. 2025 | Dubai | 24 – 28 Nov. 2025 | Abu Dhabi |
Course Objectives:
The High Voltage and Low Voltage Cable Jointer course aims to provide participants with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to safely and efficiently perform jointing tasks on both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) cables. The course is designed to cover the tools, materials, techniques, and safety standards for cable jointing in both industrial and commercial electrical systems. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the construction and characteristics of HV and LV cables.
- Learn about the different types of joints for both HV and LV cables and when to use each type.
- Gain practical skills in cable jointing techniques, including termination and splicing for both types of cables.
- Comprehend the importance of safety standards and best practices for handling high-voltage cables.
- Master the use of tools and equipment used in cable jointing, including heat shrink, cold shrink, and resin-based jointing methods.
- Troubleshoot common issues encountered during the jointing process.
- Ensure high-quality, long-lasting cable joints through proper sealing and insulation.
