24 – 28 Feb. 2025Abu Dhabi07 – 11 July 2025Dubai22 – 26 Dec. 2025Abu Dhabi

Course Objectives:

The "Amine Treating and Sour Water Stripping" training course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in amine gas treating and sour water stripping in the oil and gas industry. This course covers the theory, operation, troubleshooting, and best practices for these critical processes, which are used to remove contaminants such as hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) from natural gas and sour water.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic principles and importance of amine treating and sour water stripping in gas processing and water treatment.
  • Learn about amine solutions, their properties, and their role in removing acid gases (CO₂ and H₂S) from natural gas.
  • Gain knowledge of the sour water stripping process, its purpose, and its integration with amine gas treating systems.
  • Master the operational aspects, including the design, troubleshooting, and optimization of amine treating and sour water stripping units.
  • Understand the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) considerations in the operation of these systems.
  • Identify common challenges and how to address issues such as amine degradation, foaming, corrosion, and salt buildup in the systems.
  • Gain practical knowledge in maintenance, monitoring, and performance evaluation for amine treating and sour water stripping units.
